Project Manager/Estimator
PROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATOR (Remote)
We’re seeking a highly experienced leader to join our growing team in the United States real estate industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in written and verbal English. The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for the administrative and technical management of a construction project including the ability to prepare successful estimates. The Project Manager is expected to lead the estimating portion of the preconstruction process for assigned projects and will establish standardized processes, procedures, and methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review/analyze project plans, requirements, specifications, proposals, or other scope documents required to create accurate conceptual estimates
- Determine appropriate labor costs
- Review and comment on project estimates prepared by others at different phases
- Update estimates at required milestones; forecast significant changes to senior leadership
- Continuously review construction trends and attend professional development opportunities as required to ensure budget and estimating assumptions remain up-to-date and consistent with market trends.
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with management expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Actively collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure clear communication, alignment on project goals, and effective resolution of issues.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures while ensuring high-quality standards.
- Schedule Management: Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and adjusting timelines as necessary to accommodate changes.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during renovation/construction, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to find effective solutions.
- All other tasks assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business/Management, or related field
- Strong knowledge of cost management principles and practices
- Clear understanding of integrated design and construction schedules
- Experience with bid procurement strategies that promote opportunities for supplier diversity.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to thrive and perform in a highly collaborative environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), S. Means, Bluebeam, Revit, Planswift, CAD, and estimating software
