Housekeeper - St. Augustine
Shift: Thursday - Sunday (9:00 am - 6:00 pm)

Role 

The Housekeeper is one of the most important positions on the Stayable team. A remarkable Housekeeper delivers safe and clean accommodations to our guests with passion and positivity. They are responsible for cleaning rooms, cleaning public spaces, and doing laundry. Housekeeper schedules change based on the number of departures and arrivals in a week. Our team leaders make every effort to identify opportunities to add hours whenever possible for talented Housekeepers at their property or others in the area.

The sky is the limit for exceptional frontline team members in Stayable. This frontline role knows the guest, the safety and cleanliness standard, and how to efficiently complete tasks assigned daily. Advancement comes in many forms and will only improve as the company continues to grow. 

Compensation 

Starts at $15 per hour

This is an hourly-paid position that may occasionally allow for overtime. Housekeeper wages start at $15/hour with multiple opportunities for bonuses. The hourly wage will be adjusted based on experience, cost of living, and contribution to the property’s success. 
 

Responsibilities 

Housekeepers are generally responsible for delivering safe and clean rooms and public spaces. Below is a summary of primary responsibilities. 

Room Cleaning 

  • Remove trash left behind by guests and/or team members 

  • Clean rooms and bathrooms to the highest quality standards 

  • Clean refrigerator and microwave 

  • Clean and tidy room exterior 

  • Report maintenance issues promptly 

  • Operate housekeeping equipment as directed 

Public Space Cleaning 

  • Clean and remove garbage from public restrooms 

  • Clean and tidy guest and team areas per schedule 

  • Clean and tidy the guest laundry areas, including removing lint from dryers 

  • Pick up any litter as you see it in public spaces 

Laundry 

  • Wash, dry, and fold linens and towels 

  • Pre-treat linens and towels 

  • Inspect and discard linens and towels for damage or excess wear and tear 

  • Keep laundry area clean and tidy 

  • Report any issues with laundry equipment immediately 

General 

  • Maintain exceptional customer service when interacting with guests 

  • Notify Property Manager of any safety concerns or any violations of policy 

  • Stock housekeeping cart according to company standards 

  • Implement new objectives and procedures 

  • Contribute to incident reports as needed 

  • Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory of housekeeping supplies 

Expectations 

This is an important position at the property. Housekeepers deliver the safe and clean product that we are proud to present to our guests. We have high expectations for cleanliness and completing assigned tasks efficiently. 

Below are the minimum expectations for a Housekeeper to remain successful in their position.

  • Clean and tidy every room and public space to meet the most discerning standards 

  • Deliver an exceptional product with minimal corrections after inspection 

  • Take ownership of the appearance of the property’s rooms and public spaces 

  • Raise issues or concerns about safety, cleanliness, or property damage immediately when recognized 

Team Collaboration 

  • Refer people for employment that live our values and contribute to our culture 

  • Maintain positive professional relationships with colleagues 

  • Maintain strong attendance and time punch compliance 

  • Align with supervisor by executing meeting cadence with fidelity 

General 

  • Execute all policies and procedures with fidelity 

  • Report issues immediately to discuss and solve them quickly
